Analytics Operations Director

A leading international banking organisation is building a brand-new Analytics Operations function and is looking for an experienced leader to help shape and establish the capability from the ground up.

This is not a traditional Analytics, Data Engineering or Platform role.

Instead, you'll be responsible for bringing governance, operational control and support to a growing estate of business-critical reporting solutions, End User Computing (EUC) tools and manual processes. Many of these processes sit at the heart of regulatory and management reporting, creating significant operational risk and requiring robust oversight, maintenance and support.

Joining as one of three Directors within the function, you'll play a key role in designing the operating model, building a hybrid team and creating a scalable support capability that will support the organisation's wider BCBS239 and data transformation agenda.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and lead a new Analytics Operations capability
• Establish governance, support and maintenance processes for reporting and EUC solutions
• Reduce operational risk across manual reporting environments
• Design and implement a hybrid operating model, including offshore capability
• Lead a team responsible for supporting business-critical reporting products
• Act as the senior escalation point for operational issues and stakeholder engagement
• Partner with Data, Technology and Business teams to improve reporting controls and processes
• Support strategic BCBS239 and regulatory data initiatives

About You

• Experience leading Analytics Operations, Reporting Operations or EUC support functions
• Strong understanding of EUC governance, controls and operational risk
• Experience supporting reporting environments that rely on manual processes and end-user tools
• Banking or wider financial services experience
• Knowledge of BCBS239 and data governance principles
• Experience building teams, operating models or new capabilities
• Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
