KS1 Class Teacher Opportunity

A highly regarded faith-based primary school in the Streatham area is seeking an enthusiastic Class Teacher to join its KS1 team from September 2026.

This popular and oversubscribed school is known for its strong sense of community, excellent behaviour standards and commitment to developing the whole child. Staff work within a supportive environment where collaboration, professional development and pupil wellbeing are given high priority.

The successful Class Teacher will join a well-established Key Stage 1 team and play a key role in helping pupils develop strong foundations in reading, writing and mathematics. Year group allocation will be discussed during the interview process.

The Role

As a Class Teacher, you will:

  • Deliver engaging and well-sequenced lessons across the KS1 curriculum
  • Support pupils' progress in phonics, literacy and numeracy
  • Create a nurturing and purposeful classroom environment
  • Use assessment effectively to identify next steps in learning
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents
The Ideal Candidate

The school is looking for a Class Teacher who:

  • Holds QTS and recent UK primary teaching experience
  • Has a strong understanding of KS1 teaching and learning
  • Demonstrates excellent classroom management
  • Maintains high expectations for behaviour and achievement
  • Is committed to contributing to the wider life of the school
