Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer\nLocation: Cambridge (Hybrid Working - 3 Days On-Site Per Week)\nSalary: £40,000 - £50,000 + Bonus & Benefits (Depending on Experience) \n\nPlease Note: All Applicants must have the right to work in the UK without the need for VISA sponsorship now or in the future.\n\nRole Overview:\n\nZenovo are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their client in Cambridge who design and manufacture globally recognised consumer products.\n\nAn ideal candidate will have at least 3-Years of Commercial Experience in a Product Development Environment, having been involved in taking Products through from Concept to Manufacturing.\n\nJob Responsibilities:\n \nWork with the wider engineering team (Electronics & Software) to develop and test new product concepts. \nCreate product designs, feasibility studies, and prototypes, improving them through testing and feedback. \nDesign reliable, manufacturable products that meet performance and compliance requirements.

\nUse 3D CAD, engineering drawings, and prototyping to develop practical design solutions. \nSelect suitable materials and manufacturing methods, including injection moulding, die casting, extrusion, and sheet metal. \nMaintain accurate CAD models and engineering documentation.

\nCarry out engineering analyses such as tolerance studies, FMEA, DFSS, mould flow reviews, and FEA. \nApply DFM/DFA principles, create Bills of Materials, and support tooling and product approval activities. \nCollaborate with engineering teams and suppliers to support production and resolve technical issues Experience Required:  \n \nMechanical Engineering qualification (Degree, HND, or HNC) with product development experience.

\n3+ years' experience developing electrical or electro-mechanical products. \nStrong SolidWorks skills, including solid and surface modelling. \nExperience with injection moulding, die casting, extrusion, and sheet metal design.

\nKnowledge of FEA and engineering simulation. \nExperience with handheld consumer products is advantageous \nUnderstanding of product manufacturing and standards is beneficial. \nCFD, mould flow analysis, and supplier collaboration experience are desirable
